If you sell products or services online, you need to show your BIR seal badge where customers can easily see and scan it.
The BIR has extended the deadline for displaying the badge to October 31, 2026. Before the deadline, check every website, online shop, app, or social media page where you accept orders.
Where Should You Put the Badge?
Under BIR RMC No. 38-2026, you may place the badge on your seller profile, shop details, business page, or another section that customers can easily open.
Different ecommerce platforms may use different names for these sections. Follow this simple guide:

Possible placements for BIR Seal Badge
Online marketplace
Place the badge on your seller profile, shop details, business information, or business page. Use the platform’s official BIR or compliance field if one is available.
Business website
Add the badge to your About, Business Information, Government Compliance, or Business Permits page. Put a link in your website menu or footer so customers can find it easily.
Mobile app
Display the badge on the app’s About, Support, Settings, Government Compliance, or Business Permits page.
Social media business page
Place the badge in your public profile, About section, business information, or another permanent area that supports images. Do not rely only on a private message, customer chat, or temporary post.
If you have more than one online shop or sales page, display the badge on each one. Posting it on one website does not automatically cover your other channels.
How to Upload It Properly
Upload only the BIR Registration Seal Badge from your Certificate of Registration or electronic Certificate of Registration. You do not need to show the full document.
Do not crop, cover, redesign, or change the badge. The whole badge and QR code must remain clear and readable.
After uploading it, open your shop or page as a customer. Check it on both a phone and a computer. Make sure the badge is easy to find and has not been cropped or blurred.
Scan the QR code as a final check. It should lead to the official BIR verification address at verify.bir.gov.ph.
If you cannot find a suitable place to upload the badge, ask the platform’s Seller Support team. Keep a copy of their response and take a screenshot after publishing the badge.
Is This an Electronic Invoicing Rule?
No. The BIR seal badge is used to show that your business is registered with the BIR.
It is separate from the BIR electronic invoicing rules for e-commerce. Displaying the badge does not replace your invoices, tax returns, records, or other tax requirements.
